Windsor Police Select Advanced Robot for Bomb Squad
Terra Aerospace announced today in Ottawa that the City of Windsor, Ontario has selected the Terra Aerospace "CERBERUS" robot for use by the Police Bomb Squad. The CERBERUS robot was chosen by the selection committee based on the advanced operational capability, and the "upgradeable" capability of the computer based command and control system. Success on this tender, which saw Terra competing with major established robot manufacturers throughout North America is viewed by the company as an important milestone and the culmination of Terras' dedication to "applied" research and development in the field of security robotics. Further orders are anticipated for this advanced robot system in the near future which is a joint venture between Terra Aerospace Corporation and Thomson-CSF Systems Canada both of Ottawa, Ontario.
